This week has possibly been one of the best weeks for the camera trap. Annoyingly, I had just put some new batteries in so the times and dates were a few days and hours behind. That always happens :(. However, we have got some amazing new footage of wildlife which you will certainly enjoy. Coming up is a huge amount of deer, a fox, jays, pigeons and even an owl!
Near to the start of when the camera was out, we got a few jays.
We also got a squirrel.
In one of the first nights we got something new and exciting. It was a deer at night!
This is the first time we have ever had them in the night and they appeared regularly.
Here are some videos:
That is all for today's post. If you are new here and would like to know more about the history of the deer (which are usually very rare) then click HERE.
That wasn't the only thing we got that night; we also managed to get a video of a fox.
The next day, we got a woodpigeon.
The next night we got what some people (including me) might say is the most exciting animal on today's post. It was a tawny owl - we have only ever had one before in February last year and it was one of the animals I wanted to get most. This time, it was on the log and flies off around 10 seconds into the video.
The next day was the best day of the week. We got the deer again, at two points in the day
It is spring so they are moulting their thick, winter fur just like the one we got last May.
Here are some of the photos we got:
