Over the last two stormy days we decided to try and put the camera trap in a new place.
We jumped over our usual style, dodged the cow-pats in the field and found a new spot tucked away from the footpaths.
In a small wooded area we found a really calm clearing that looked perfect. On the first day we laid the trap low in a damp, boggy patch. We were delighted to catch a fox and a squirrel here.
On day 2 we moved the camera slightly up a small bank and were lucky to capture a fox again, a Jay, and a magpie.
Brilliant fox spots again! Wow!
ReplyDeleteKeep up your writing - I like the descriptions. I have been told a great thing to do when writing about nature is to use each of your senses - what you see, hear, smell (you can usually smell the foxes!) and touch. Leave the taste one though! You should send this to Springwatch when it is back on again and share with the Self-Isolating Bird Club too! Thanks for sharing your photos, videos and blogs with me, Vanessa
